“Mildred had my father at 19 years old. I could not find any marriage record. I did find my father's birth certificate. You can see it in his gallery on my tree. Walter was my grandfather. I have been in contact with Linda you can call her and find out that this is something Doug had heard rumors of but until now no one knew the story.
I am excited to learn about the Barker family and hopefully will get to Oklahoma soon to meet Linda.
My father was not raised Barker so I just found this information.

My dad is Gerald Armour. Born August 21st 1940. Mildred married John Armour August 21st 1941. My father grew up using the Armour name never realizing Barker was his given name. If you look at my tree the birth certificate names my dad Gerald Lee Barker I cannot come up with reasons Barker was never used my grandmother has been dead for many years
