Geneva Mary Puffenbarger, 76, of Monterey died Tuesday, August 22, at her home in Monterey. Mrs. Puffenbarger was born May 21, 1902 at Buffalo Hills in Pendleton County, West Virginia, and was a daughter of the late Norvel and Emma Mullenax High. She was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband Harry Puffenbarger of Monterey; two nephews, one great-nephew and
one great-niece. The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Riley Smith. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.

Miss Geneva High, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norval High, of Hightown, Va., was united- in marriage with Mr. John Shinaberry, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Shinaberry of Marlinton, W. Va. September the 25th 1948 with the Rev. R. O. Hipes officiating. The double ring ceremony was used. The bride was attired in gray with black accessories. The only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Puffenbarger. They will make their home at Hightown, Va.

On Saturday, June 16, Mrs. Geneva High Shinaberry exchanged marriage vows with Harry E. Puffenbarger in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. C.P. Price at the Blue Grass Methodist parsonage. The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norval High of Hightown and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Si Puffenbarger of Blue Grass. The couple are making their home at Hightown with the bride's brother, E.E. High.
