A native of Germany, Mrs. Gensmann was born July 25, 1870, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Emil Kolbe. She was married here Nov. 4, 1895, to William E. Gensmann, who died Feb. 25, 1949. A local resident for the past 16 years, Mrs. Gensmann resided in the Town of Maine for 45 years prior to coming here.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Leitzke, Wausau; three sons, William, Albert, and Henry F. Gensmann, all of Wausau; a brother, Ernest Kolbe, Marathon; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
