I’m just trying to do some family tracing. My grandmother Ana was born to my great-grandmother Manda who died either in childbirth or shortly after. She was married to my great grandfather Mate Japuncic (who then remarried to Ika). Can you tell me, could this be the same person? Was Manda’s surname Miletic?

Thanks for the thorough response. I only found you here ion MyHeritage, though I have done 23 and me, but haven’t really kept up with my matches, I just purchased the DNA kit today so will have some further information here once that is tested.
Do you know where you found out the information on Manda (Miletic?). As she died so young, and I think it was in childbirth, my grandmother never had the chance to meet her (and possible extended family) as my great grandfather remarried shortly after and had a large family with Ika.
My parents both came from Croatia and moved to Ohio in the USA. My sisters and I were born in the USA, but I have through some life choices ended up in Ireland and have started my family here.
My mother can’t remember a lot of the things she was told by her father, but it is interesting to see how it all matches up.
