Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Mrs. Ida Blagg Eagle from the Doe Hill Methodist Church by the Rev. L.S. Shires, assisted by the Rev. George H. Rector. She was buried in the nearby cemetery. Mrs Eagle, who was 72 years of age. died at her home at Dee Hill on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Flower bearers were members of Mrs. Eagle's Sunday School class; Mrs J.H. Blagg, Mrs J.H. Armstrong, Mrs A.L. Moyers, Mrs. Lena Snyder, Mrs. Grace Botkin, Mrs Rebecca Hiner, Mrs. C.N. Kiracofe & Mrs Laura Snyder. Mrs Eagle was united in marriage in 1903 to Jonathan Eagle who preceded her in death. She was a daughter of the late James H. & Amanda Vint Blagg and was born at Doe Hill on March 7, 1877. She was, a great lover of home and in days of weaving often was found at her loom from which she turned out many yards of carpet. She is survived by one son Ray Eagle at home: three step sons. Henry Eagle, McDowell and Milton Eagle, Churchville; Edd Eagle, at home, one step daughter, Mrs. Lura Price, Staunton; two foster grandchildren; eight step-grand children, and nine step-great-grand- children. Four sisters. Mrs Naomi Botkin, Mrs. J.W. Propst. both of Doe Hill, Mrs Martha Price of West Augusta, Va. and Mrs. Lillie Rexrode, Berryville, Va., a brother, A.J. Blagg of Doe Hill.
