Hough Genealogy 1936, says Elizabeth Warner’s grandfather was Henry Rhodes. at the age of 46 in 1800 he settled with his family in Smithton, Westmoreland Co PA
Some conjecture that Werner/Warner may be related to Geo Washington’s grandmother who was a Warner. Elizabeth and Wm became engaged at a flour mill near Perryopolis PA built by Washington
Spource -
Her grandfather Henry Rhodes actually came from Springfield Twp, Bucks Co, PA and probably did not follow till around 1803. Henry Rhoads, was baptized 22 Sep 1754 in Bedminster Twp, Bucks Co, PA and followed his son in law about 1803, age 49 to South Huntingdon Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA. He was never in Charleston or Chester County at anytime. Another note regarding Henry. Almost every tree on Ancestry says his wife was Catherine Cramer. The maiden name of Catherine, w/o Henry Rhoads was not Cramer (disproved) and is simply unknown. Their marriage was probably in the Tohickon German Reformed Church, but the records appear to be incomplete. Glen_Swartz
