Per History of Pocahontas County, WV, 1981 edition, page. 242:
The eldest child of Reuben & Susannah was Solomon Buzzard, born in Highland Co. in 1798. He was married on January 7, 1819, by John Watson to Rachel Grimes, daughter of Arthur and Mary Sharp Grimes, Arthur being a son of Felix the Pioneer. In the 1820 census, Solomon and Rachel were listed next to his parents on Sitlington Creek, with their infant daughter, Barbara. In the ensuing years, Solomon and Rachel had six more children, Arthur, Jesse, Susannah (who married William Sharp), Mary Agnes (who married Daid Kincaid), Charles and Sarah. Solomon died fairly young, that is, age 41. His will was probated in 1839.
