David married Susanna Bechtel on March 04, 1830. She died in 1868 and he married Catherine Shoemaker around 1879. He lived most of his life in Hosensack in Lower Milford Township in Lehigh County, where he owned a store and also served as postmaster for many years. He was a deacon in his church at Zionsville and it is believed he let them meet in the second floor of his store until the church was built. Some believe the church in his store was an additional group.20
