John Sharp owned tracts of land on the
west side of Allegheny of 255 acres and 82 acres, also 239 acres on the
head of Lewis Lick Run. He had four daughters:
(1) Ellen (Amaziah Irvine)
(2) Mary (Joshiah Friel)
(3) Rebecca (John Duffield)
(4) Nancy (William H. Irvine) near Verdant Valley.
John had two slaves in 1829 and 1830. One was a child between the ages of 12 and 16. The other was older than 16. He had 5 when he died i
