After George’s death, Mary lived with her son Joseph who in 1868 moved to Iowa, and then to Kansas. She died in one of those states.
After marriage George and Mary moved near Beallsville, Washington Co. PA where they had 8 children. Mary’s brothers Henry and William also lived there.
About 1853 they moved to a farm near Keene, Bethlehem Tp, Coshocton Co OHIO where George died. Mary spoke German, broken English, members of German Lutheran Church in PA and joined Methodist Church inn OH. Children:
-Rosannah 1817-1898 md Henry Snyder
-Andres md Christina Snyder sister of Henry. Remained in PA around Greenfield. Had at least 3 children. Once visited by a nephew Anderson Snyder
-Joseph Hout 1825-1911 md Mary Jane Smith and then Isabel Elliott
-Elizabeth 1827-1876 md Albert Deems
-Mary Jane 1830-1905 md Oliver Blackburn
-Minerva 1832-1909 md Morris Failing
