Walter: I'm one of the outsiders in the Kovar family. Here is the connection. My wife is Delores Chervenka whose mother was Viola Kovar, the daughter of Frank Kovar and Emma Luksa. Frank and Emma lived in the Rogers, Texas area. Frank was the son of Joseph Kovar and Frances Balusek, and Joseph was the son of Paul Kovar and Veronika Swetlik. Jackie and I have been in touch for a while trying to decipher Czech church books (matriky) dealing with the birth and marriage of Paul and Veronika and other ancestors. Delores and I were in the Czech Republic in 2014 and visited House #54 in Seninka where Paul Kovar was born. When we visited, the couple now living in 54 had their daughter and granddauther at their home, and they wanted a picture of Delores holding the baby. And of course they served svachina and slivovice! The house was redone in 1858 and the present owners think that it is pretty much the same now as it was then (except for roof, insulation, electrical, plumbing, internet ...)
