John Hagen youngest of 3 childen born to John Hagen and Margaret Holte. John Sr was a Sawyer in Germany and came to America in 1859. He died Ap 16, 1860. John JHr farmed in Germany until July 1854 when he and wife came to America locating first in Bradford or Monon in this county of Honey Creek, White Co IN and afterward moved to Reynolds. Worked on NA RR as Forman. In 1870 bought 80 acres and added 40 later. Farmed. On 7 June 1854 he married Sophia Schrader a native of Germany who bore him 9 children.
