What a wonderful website you have. My name is Cookie Williams and I live in Summerville, SC.
I was in my aunt’s basement in Greenville, PA, a few weeks ago looking at old photo albums that belonged to my great aunt Catherine. Her husband was George Brenner, born in Valparaiso, IN, and moved to Sharpsville, PA. Great Uncle George died in 1943 (I was born in 1958 so I never met him) and he and Aunt Catherine never had any children. They did, however, leave behind some old photo albums. Sadly, we never knew who any of the precious people were. Luckily in one of the albums I ran across a postcard from Nellie Shinabarger (b. Jan 1893) to her cousin, Emma Brenner, who was Uncle George’s sister. George and Emma’s mother was Catherine Botel, and her sister, Margaret Botel (b. 6 Jul 1870) was married to Edward Sylvester Shinabarger (b. July 1868).
When searching on Nellie’s name I came across your website and thought you would enjoy seeing some of what I found. I did find a yearbook online from 1911 that had Nellie’s senior picture in it and it was an exact picture that was in our album! So I finally could put a name to this beautiful young woman!!
