MARY BONATTO
A mass of Christian burial for Mary Bonatto was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Charles Taylor officiating.
A rosary was recited at the Whisler residence, and interment was in the Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park. The active pallbearers were Edward Yedinak, Jim Kruljac, Darrell Kruljac, John Potter, Ralph Potter and Don Hunter.
Mrs. Bonatto, 78, of 4320 Houston Drive, Reno, Nev., died at 8:47 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, shortly after being admitted to the Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev., following a sudden illness. She was born in Colinsville, Mo., on Dec. 9, 1909, the daughter of the late Matt and Margaret Stajcar Kruljac. She attended schools in Colinsville and married the late Gasper Bonatto in Rock Springs on July 9, 1938. Mrs. Bonatto was a member of the BPO Does, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and a past president of the Altar Society. She had worked as a housekeeper for the late Father Bartek.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Eleanore) Whisler of Rock Springs; one son, John Bonatto of Reno; two brothers, John Kruljac of Rock Springs and Joe Kruljac of Riverside, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Theresa) Potter of Rock Springs; two granddaughters, Andrea and Gianna Whisler, both of Salt Lake City, and several nieces and nephews.
