GASPER BONATTO

Funeral services for Gasper Bonatto, 67, 701 Fourth Avenue West, Rock Springs, were conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Trujillo officiating. Burial was in Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Reay, Stan Myska, Andy Angelovic, Onesimo Branch, Harry Fitchett and John Fornengo.

Mr. Bonatto died Monday at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 13. He had been in ill health since Dec. 30.

A life-time resident of Rock Springs, he was born here Nov. 4, 1902, the son of the late Lucca and Appolonia Faletti Bonatto. He married Mary Rose Kruljac in Rock Springs, July 19, 1938.

Employed by the City of Rock Springs until ill health forced his retirement, he attended schools here and was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, Rock Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Robert B. (Eleanore) Whisler, Rock Springs; one son, John, San Carlos, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Peggy) Litton, Downey, Calif.; two granddaughters, Gianna and Andrea, both of Rock Springs, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lena, and Elizabeth Ann and Elizabeth Marie, twins.”20
