Highland Recorder, April 12, 1907, Just before going to press we learn of the death of Mrs. Philip Helmick, whose home was on Samuel Hevener's land, near Monterey. Mrs. Helmick has been ill for some time and her death was not a suprise (sic) to her friends. Deceased was a daughter of Philip Wimer, and was twice married, her first husband being Enoch Peck. She was the mother of a large family. Her age was about 70 years.
