Oct. 22, 1706, by Pen Townsend, Esq.,to Rebecca Stone; probably living in 1765 when his son was stillSamuel Spear, Jr. He was a cordwainer by trade, and was livingin Watertown in 1707/8 when he sold a mansion house andtwelve acres in that town to William Blogget.f By 1711 he wasback in Braintree when he and John Stone and their wives soldanother mansion house and nineteen acres in Watertown.: In1723 he sold a house and eight acres in Braintree to EdmundQuincy, Rebecca Spear releasing dower.§————Samuel’s Children:1.
